Story
On May 15, my brother John suffered a traumatic brain injury after an unexpected fall while on his lunch break in Manhattan. He was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he underwent a life saving emergency craniotomy and cranioplasty to treat a skull fracture and an epidural hematoma (brain bleed). He spent a week in the hospital undergoing many tests and scans while in the ICU and on the neuroscience floor. John’s injury was severe and will leave him with a long road to recovery. We still don’t know what caused the fall, which has made this situation even harder to process.
Throughout this ordeal, John has kept his sense of humor and managed to find light in an exceedingly dark time. However, the financial burden from hospital bills is quickly becoming overwhelming. We are asking for donations to help cover some of his medical expenses, rehabilitation, and basic living costs while he focuses on his recovery.
Every contribution helps, and if you can’t donate, simply sharing this campaign means more than you know. Thank you for keeping John in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time!
